Common CENTURION Gate Motor FAQs

In today’s post, we’ll be answering some frequently asked questions with regards to CENTURION gate motors and access control products, including ancillary equipment such as beams.  We’ve consulted our technical support crew in order to amass a database of the most commonly encountered technical queries. Please feel free to post your own questions in the comments sections and we’ll try to answer them as speedily as possible!

Q:  How do I connect infrared beams to the D2 Turbo?

A:  Always connect the transmitter negative to the SAF COM terminal.  This is to facilitate the beam test functionality.
Q: Can I fit steel rack for the D2 Turbo to run on?

A:  We prefer nylon rack as it runs more quietly and is more cost-effective, but you can fit steel rack.
Q:  Can I fit a 7Ah battery or must it be the special 5Ah that is not as common as the 7AH?

A:  Yes you can.  The 5Ah gives us the desired result and keeps the initial purchase price as low as possible.
Q:  If I replace the controller, do I have to reprogram the remotes?

A:  You can use the same memory module that is used for the D5-Evo, D10 and SECTOR, to back up the memory.  This will not only restore your remotes, but any special settings you may have had on the unit.
Q:  How do I restore the D2 Turbo to factory defaults?

A:  1) Remove power from the controller. 2) Remove all wire links.  3) Reapply power while holding down the black run button. 4) The SAF OPN, SAF CLS and LCK LEDs will be illuminated to indicate that the controller has been successfully defaulted.
G-SWITCH-22 and G-WEB

Q: On G-WEB, my SMS credits have run out. How do I synchronise?
A:  There are two ways.  You can either SMS the word “connect” to the module you want to synchronise the website with, using any mobile phone, or you can purchase G-WEB SMS bundles directly from Centurion Systems.

Q:  How do I default my G-SWITCH-22?
A:  Power down the unit, bridge inputs 1 and 2 to Ground and bridge the set link, then power up the unit.  Remove all the wire links as well as the jumper.  The unit is now defaulted.

Q:  In what format should the mobile number be when I assign a module on G-WEB?
A:  The number must be entered in the international format.

Q: During setup, how do I get the gate to start by opening?

A:  CENTURION gate motors must always start a limit setup by opening first.  With most operators, you can simply swap the motor wires around to change the direction of travel.  However, with the A10, you need to adhere to the following procedure to change the direction should the gate start by closing:  1) Fit the jumper and press the reset button.  2) Press and hold the test button until L1 has flashed once, then release. 3) Press and hold the test button until the status LED has flashed twice, then release.  The gate will now start by opening.
XTrac

Q: How many cycles can the XTrac do in standby mode, i.e. when it goes into the battery low state?
A:  As soon as the mains fail, the operator will start to beep once every 30 seconds to indicate the transition into standby mode.  In this state, you can do 12 to 30 operations depending on the size of the door, door balance, and duration of the power failure.

When the batteries are close to being drained, the unit will start to beep twice every 30 seconds and the unit will be able to do about two to three cycles before being completely shut down.
Q:  If the batteries are fairly flat, how long does it take them to be restored to full voltage?

A:  It can take up to 15 hours to fully recharge the batteries, assuming that they started from shutdown voltage levels.
NOVA

Q:  How do I program a NOVA remote control to latch?
A:  Power down the receiver, momentarily bridge the erase pins, reapply power and press the desired transmitter button.  Remove the bridge.

Q:  How do I know if the battery in my NOVA transmitter is flat?
A: The LED will flash rapidly whenever a button is pressed.

We will of course be back with more product FAQs, but until then please feel free to post your questions here or contact our Technical Support Team on 0861 003 123 (Sharecall.  RSA only).

    1. Hi Dereck. That is an excellent question, and perhaps one we should discuss at length in a future blog post. The position control is managed by an opto-electronic sensor. In other words, a counter wheel counts the number of impulses in a given direction. We find that this is more reliable than mechanical limit switches, as micro switches are prone to fail.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hi Mufika. That's a good question! When you program a remote button for latching, it works almost like a switch. In other words, when you press the (latched) button, the remote will continue sending out a signal, and whatever you are activating will remain activated, until you press the button again. I hope this makes sense?

  6. My Centurion D4 motor beeps 4 time when I try to open the gate???

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi Mohamed. Does your gate motor have an LCD screen? We don't have a D4 model, but it could perhaps be a D5-Evo? Four beeps normally indicate a collision condition. I would advise checking that there is nothing physically obstructing the gate, such as stones on the rail, bad rack joints, seized wheels, etc. If you like, I can get a technician to phone you when you are at the gate?

    1. Hi Mias

It definitely sounds like one or both of your batteries are at fault here, but it could also just be a bad connection. Check all your power connections and, if they seem sound, I would advise bringing the batteries as well as the charger to your nearest CENTURION branch so that we may test it for you.

  9. D2 ANTI THEFT BRACKET
Beware when installing the D2 turbo anti-theft bracket that your battery terminals are on the clutch side of the unit and not on the gear side. Reason being that if you hold the anti-theft bracket towards the unit during set-up you could make a short and possibly damage your electronics.

  11. Hi there, would like to know how to connect nova four button remote from my d2 turbo motor to the door striker on the nearby pedestrian door. I only use 1 button on the remote currently and would like to use one of the spares for the pedestrian door. Have bought a 1 channel receiver for the nova but don't know how to connect it... Does it require it's own 12v transformer or can it use the transformer from the door striker?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Good day,

The door strike power supply will be sufficient as long as the supply voltage is between 12 and 24V.

Programming one of your unused buttons to the receiver:

      *Power the receiver.
*Link the jumper over “J2” and the middle pin, the LED will flash. When the LED glows solid, remove the jumper. (This is to erase any possible transmitter codes programmed in)
*Place the jumper over “J1” and the middle pin. The light will come on. (Learn mode)
*Press the button you want to use to activate the striker lock, the light will go off for a moment and come back on. This indicates that the transmitter code is accepted. Repeat this step to learn in additional remotes.
*When done learning, remove the jumper and store it or place it over one of the pins to keep it safe for future use.

If you'd like to provide me with your email address, I can also send you a wiring diagram.

      Have a wonderful day. Charl

    1. Hi Mandy. Certainly. The first thing we need to determine is why the setup is failing. This can be due to a number of reasons, such as a missing origin magnet, inconsistent endstops or a perceived collision, Can you please check for what error message is given on the display the moment that the setup fails? You will need to watch the screen rather closely.

    1. Hi Tanya. I'd be happy to assist. Tell me, does the motor only beep when the gate is opening or closing, or does it do it even when the gate is not in motion? Usually, when it beeps during operation, it is an indication that the operator is not detecting the gate-mounted origin magnet. Do you see the magnet on the gate at all?

    1. Hi Ronald. Do you have beams fitted at home? If yes, it may be that they are faulty. However, they can be bypassed by connecting a small piece of wire between the SAF CLS (Safety Close) and SAF COM terminals on the PC board. You also need to ensure that Beam Test is DISABLED under the IR Beams menu. If you get stuck, please don't hesitate to contact our technical support call centre on +27 11 699 2481. Cheers, Charl

Lastly, how do I troubleshoot the beams that are not working or do i just need to replace them?

      Delete
    3. The easiest way is to just pass your hand through the beam. If you don't hear a click, chances are the beams are stuffed. However, it could also be a broken cable or something to that effect. It may be worth removing the lenses and just checking whether the power LEDs are on. If not, the beams are probably faulty and you can just replace them. Fortunately, beams are relatively inexpensive!

  20. I have two gate motors installed 50 meters from each other. One is a D5 and the other a D5-EVO. I want to change a single button remote from operating the D5 to now operating the D5-EVO. The problem is that after I added the button to the D5-EVO motor, transmission wasn't override to the D5 but instead, when pressed, it now operates both motors simultaneously. Is their a way of deleting the transmission of the remote to the D5 motor? (There is an option to delete remote buttons on the D5-EVO's control panel, but what is the equivalent for doing this for the older D5 model?)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Udo. Unfortunately, the older receivers such as the one that is likely to be connected to your D5 do not allow for selective adding and deleting, so it will be necessary to first delete all the remotes on the D5, and then re-learn them (the remotes on the D5-Evo will not be affected). You'll see on the receiver (this is normally a smaller PC board connected to a large one), there are pins with a plastic link resting over one. One pin is usually marked Add (or J1), and the other one Delete (or J2). There will also be a common pin. To delete remotes, simply bridge the pin marked Delete with the common one. To re-add them, bridge Add with the common pin.

    Replies
    1. Hi Harry. It would appear that your gate motor is encountering an obstruction. Normally, increasing the collision sensitivity would resolve this issue but it could well be that something is obstructing the gate's travel. The main things to check are that there are no stones or debris on the track, that the rack is missing teeth, that the wheels or guide-rollers have seized or that there is some deformity of the track. Alternatively, it could simply be that your motor needs a service, in which case I would recommend bringing it in to any of our branches nationwide.

  23. Hi.

I have issues with my D2 Turbo. At first I thought I thought it was the battery as it stopped working so started having to use it manually. I went to get the battery checked and it is fine so is getting charge etc.

For good measure I deleted the remotes with the intention of resetting those too when I got it going again.

I then have been trying to reset the gate limits and am getting frustrated with it!. Following the instructions with the gate closed etc, it goes back to the open limit and then comes back to the closed limit. Previously at this point when resetting (something I have had to do a fair bit) it would bomb off and confirm the limits that I had just set. It hasn't done that though. The LED just flashes red. There are no beeps etc. I;m assuming from this that it hasn't set the limits properly but have no idea how to remedy the problem. Any help / advice etc would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    1. That depends on whether you have safety beams fitted. If you do, you shouldn't have to fit the wire in the first place, unless the beams are faulty.

  28. Safety beams were working all of a sudden it seems they are faulty. I did not disconnect the hard wires to the controller only put in a loop between my safe common and close. I have resetted the controller to default setting and I have been doing that each time it fails to close with the beams indicated as active. I have now completely disconnected the safety beam from the controller resetted it and it works. But for how long?

    1. Hi Sici. I'm sorry to hear that; I can imagine that it must be very frustrating not being able to open your gate! The fact that the controller is resetting generally points to one thing: a flat battery. But first, let's try to get that gate to dislodge from the endstop. Engage the gearbox and disconnect the two motor wires (thick black and thick blue) from the controller. Next, place them directly on the battery terminals. If the gate drives further into the endstop, swap the wires around. This should do the trick, but I do worry that the battery is not strong enough to perform this operation. I would definitely replace it. If you are still stuck, please don't hesitate to give the technical support call centre a buzz on 011 699 2481. Charl

    2. I did exactly as you said and the Gate did not move an inch but the motor did react by making a slight click sound as I connected the wires to the battery terminal, I have tried to put the Gate on manual to atleast come In and out but the Gate is not budging when I push it. The battery is 3/4 bars.

    3. I have a suspicion that your battery has a dead cell. The diagnostic screen may show that it has some charge remaining - or is even at full charge - but once load is applied you might find that it actually drops to 0V. You are definitely going to need a new battery. If you'd like to mail me your cellphone number, I can get a technician to give you a call and guide you. Can someone please advise me on how to perminently disable the IR beams fitted on my d5 evo? I basically have IR beams installed but would like to inactivate them.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Mohammed

Basically, there are two ways to achieve this. In both scenarios, you need to first disconnect the beams from the electronic controller.

      1. Perform a reset back to Factory Defaults. This is done via the General Settings menu on your controller and electronically bypasses the IRB circuit.

      2. You can bypass the circuit by connecting a short length of wire between Safety Close and COM.

Either of these methods will disable the IR beams.

    1. Hello Clive. Thank you very much for your query. I suspect that it might be necessary to re-learn your gate's end-of-travel limits as it was probably thrown out of whack by the collision. If that does not do the trick, we can look at other possibilities such as a damaged motor circuit. May I ask what gate motor model you have?

  38. Hi Guys,

Need some advise to get my Centurion Gate going again.
I have a Centurion D5, the older model with the CP80 PC board.

Problem was that the gate would only activate on a second push button. As the unit was 6 years old and fault free, I replaced the battery, Charger & CP80 board.

Now after wiring the unit exactly as it was wired, it no longer opens or even activates the relays.

The unit has power, the motor does engage when powered directly, but the green LCK with a red Status LED & a red TRG LED remains active.
I have performed a factory reset, but this also fails.

As a last resort I reinstalled the old CP80, but the conditions remain exactly the same.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank You
    Johann

    1. Hi Johann. Thank you very much for your query. It would appear that a permanent or latched trigger is the culprit in this case. The TRG LED should only illuminate momentarily when a remote button or other triggering device is pressed, and immediately extinguish. There appears to be a short-circuit on your trigger. Let's start by disconnecting all the wires connected to the TRG terminal (you'll notice that the TRG LED extinguishes at this point). Next, reconnect the wires one by one until the LED comes back on. This will help us determine what device is giving the permanent trigger and find a suitable solution. Please let me know what you find.

    2. I have the same problem with the D5/CP80. On mine the IRB, TRG and LCK LEDS are constantly on. IRB and LCK clear if i remove them from COM. TRG only clears if i remove the RX connection.
Also if i connect the motor directly to the Battery ports it is as if the gate is too heavy so it just jerks and stops. The relays only come in the instant I put the Rx connection and never again after that. The test button wont trigger anything. No response to the remote control.

      Ignatius.

      Delete
    3. Hi Ignatius. Thanks for your query. The TRG light should not be on permanently, and should only come if a trigger signal (remote button, keypad code, card reader tag, etc.) is applied. Please ensure that the connection from your remote controller receiver is normally-open (N/O), and not normally-closed (N/C). Your external receiver may also be faulty. If you like, you can send your contact details to charl.mijnhardt@centurionsystems.co.za, and I'll get a technician to contact you.

    1. Hi Sam. Thanks very much for your query. This is most likely caused by a faulty motor controller (the smaller PC board located inside the drive unit that controls motor movement and direction). Let's start with a simple test: with the garage door in the fully open position, disengage the motor, move the door off the open limit manually, then re-engage the motor and press your remote button. Does the motor now drive the door?

    1. Hi Louis. Thanks for your query. I have a suspicion that what is happening is that, when you fit the theft-resistant cage, the metal interferes with the DOSS (your gate motor's encoding system). There are two things that you can do to remedy this, both to do with your gate-mounted origin magnet. Firstly, ensure that the magnet is as close as possible to the blue (or possibly black) sensor when the magnet and sensor are directly opposite each other. Secondly, it is very important to ensure that they are on the same level. In other words, the sensor must not be mounted higher than the sensor, and vise versa.

Your best bet is to get an installer to come check it out. However, our technical support team will also be able to assist you. You can contact them on 0861 003 123.

  43. Good day
I still have the older D5 motor. I have the following problem.
Condition: The gate is in such a position that the magnets are away from the sensor.
    - When I push the test button, one relay clicks in and falls out immediately. The status light then flashes 5 times.
    - When I pull the motor fuse and then push the test button, one relay click in, stays in for about 2 seconds and then falls out. The status light stays on while the relay is in.
    - In "idling" condition, the status light flashes twice every few seconds.
    - The battery is good and the motor runs when connected directly to the battery.

    Your help will be appreciated.

    1. Hi Johan. Thank you for your query. From what you have described, it really sounds like your battery is at the root of your gate motor woes, and the fact that the Status LED flashes is an indication that no mains voltage is being read. However, the problem might also be related to a faulty charger or PCB. Your best bet is to take the battery, controller (PCB) and charger to your nearest CENTURION branch so that all three these components can be thoroughly tested. You can find a list of our branches and their respective addresses here http://www.centsys.co.za/contact-us/contact-details

  44. Hi, I have a D5 motor. I have had problems getting the motor to work properly. I have tried the automatic setup routine, but the gate just does a short back and forth and then stops. What could the problem be?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Dear Paul. My sincerest apologies for only getting back to you now. From what you've described, it sounds like the problem lies with your gate motor's DOSS, or Digital Origin Seeking System. This is the intelligence that enables your gate motor to determine the gate's position in space. Let's start by checking that no oil has found its way into the DOSS chamber. To do this, unscrew the manual release thumbwheel completely, and for signs of oil on the tip. It should be completely dry. Please let me know what you find, so that we may proceed with further diagnostic exercises.

  45. Hi, I have a D5 motor which continuously beeps when opening or closing and the status light flashes with the beep. This stops when the gate is closed or open and the status light remains steady on with no flashing. What could the problem be?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi Stephen. My suspicion is that your gate motor sensor is not picking up the gate-mounted origin magnet, which tells the system the gate's position in space. Try to move the magnet a bit closer to the sensor, and see whether that solves the problem. You are also most welcome to contact our technical support call centre on +27 11 699 2400.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Just to add more detail. When I follow the instruction from the you tube video, my motor spins the opposite way

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hi there Mark. My sincerest apologies for the delayed response. With many of our motors, the way to get the motor to travel the opposite way is to swap the motor wires. However, with the D2 Turbo, we have simplified this and all that is necessary for the gate to travel in the right direction, is to ensure that the gate is FULL CLOSED when performing the limit setup procedure. It's as easy as that. If you need help with this, I'd be happy to get a technician to give you a buzz and guide you through the steps. My email address is charl.mijnhardt@centurionsystems.co.za, if you'd like to send me your contact details. Also advise on what time would be best for a techie to give you a call.

    1. Hi Freddie. Thank you for your query. There are basically three things that you can do to rectify this particular problem:

      1. Go into the IR Beams menu (Menu 6) and ensure that IR Beam Test is set to OFF.
      2. Go into the General Settings Menu (Menu 10, if memory serves) and perform a reset to factory defaults.
      3. Under the same menu, ensure that the Operating Standard is set to ZA (if, indeed, you are in South Africa).

  57. Hi there! I've got a D5 unit fitted. When trying to set the limits the error - no origin found - appears. Ens and start stops are fitted and the gate magnet has worked fine up until now. One also hears the click when the magnet passes the motor. Any ideas? Thanks Gert

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Gert. Thanks for your query. The problem definitely does seem to be related to your origin magnet. To check whether the sensor is picking up the magnet, disengage your gate motor and move the gate by hand so that the magnet passes the sensor. Now, check whether the screen displays "ORG on Left/Right" as the magnet passes. If it does not, it may simply be necessary to move the magnet a little closer to the sensor. If that doesn't work either, you may need to replace the sensor. I hope this helps!

  58. Great job with helping so many people with their gate problems - awesome stuff!

We have a D3 or D5 which has stopped working after being away for a couple of weeks. The electrics and battery seem ok - a click is heard and the TRG light goes green briefly when using the remote but the motor doesn't start. I attempted a power off/on and the motor did make a sound along with the few beeps so it seems to be almost operational but the same problem persists.

Any ideas or things to try before I call out a technician?

    Much appreciated,
    Graeme

    ReplyDelete
  59. Dear Graeme. Thank you so much for the kind words, and my sincerest apologies for the late response. My suspicion is that your motor fuse has blown. This is a 16A fuse that lies horizontally across the PC board, next to the two big relays. You can obtain these fuses from any hardware store (be sure to ask for 16A, though!), or from your nearest Centurion branch. If replacing the fuse doesn't work, you may want to look at replacing the battery.

But when I try to open the gate I get the same result opens but refuses to close , so I figured the pc board is faulty so I bought a new one same problem is recurring, I am really confused and would appreciate if anyone had an idea of what the problem could be.

Status lights flashes 4 times. Checked wheels etc, all seems in order. I disconnected everything and reset the limits etc. Works 100% for 2 to 3 times than same problem starts again. Could you please assist?

    1. Hi Mohamed. Thanks for your query. Four flashes typically indicates an obstruction of some sort, so you were quite correct in checking the wheels. Other things you may want to check are: the mesh between the pinion and the rack, the condition of the rail, the condition of the guide-rollers, that there are no messy joints in the rack, as well as the collision sensitivity of the motor. If you have safety equipment such as infrared beams fitted, you may set the sensitivity to minimum (i.e. the force to maximum). For assistance, please call our technical support line on 0861 003 123.

    2. So I did all the above and the problem still persists.
As a test, I disengaged the motor and reset everything. Whilst disengaged, I noticed that if I press the button to open, the motor turns for a short while, then status light flashes 4 times (with motor disengaged). Is this normal?

      Delete
    3. Hi there. Yes, this is absolutely normal. The controller registers the motor's disengaged state as a collision, and thus flags the error. At this stage, I would suggest getting an accredited installer to come have a look. In what area do you reside?

    6. Hi, thanks for all your assistance, but I think I found the problem. The wheel is catching the side of the pinion.
In this case do I replace the rack?

      Delete
    7. Well-spotted! That most definitely sounds like the cause of the problem. The gearbox has slots at the bottom; you can loosen the nuts holding the gearbox in place, and then slide the operator along these slots until the wheel no longer catches the pinion. Just remember to retighten the nuts! If this doesn't work, you may want to look into replacing the rack.

    1. Hi Paul. There are two (main) things that can cause this:

      1. The closing sensitivity is set too high. This can be adjusted using the sensitivity potentiometers on the control unit.
      2. The closing limit prong has worked loose and has moved. The limit prong can be fastened using a Philips screwdriver.

    1. Hi Nolan. Thanks for your query. Your gate motor should be capable of running at least a couple of cycles using its native battery backup (assuming, of course, that you have a Centurion gate motor). But, in the event that the battery has been depleted (for example during a very long power outage), the motor's gearbox can be disengaged by turning the manual release thumbwheel in a clockwise direction.

    1. Hi Sandy. Thanks for the comment! What is most likely to be happening is that the custom bracket is interfering with the gate motor's sensor, causing it to lose orientation. What I would suggest is to have someone cut a hole in the bracket where the sensor is (it's right in the corner of the motor gearbox and is usually marked with a green dot). Alternatively, you can mount the sensor outside the box (we do have special extended cable harnesses available). However, please note that rain and sunlight might damage the sensor if you choose to take this route.

-That the gate runs smoothly and that there are no "sticky" spots
-That the wheels are in a good condition and are not stiff or seized
-That there is no dirt or stones on the rail
-That there are no missing teeth in the rack

    1. Hi Harry. The red LED at the end of the limit setup means that setup did not complete, most likely as a result of the origin sensor not detecting the gate-mounted magnet. Please ensure that the magnet passes as closely as possible to the motor housing, just shy of touching the cover. If moving the magnet closer does not work, please feel free to contact our technical call centre on 0861 003 123 for further technical assistance.

    3. Hi there. It often happens that oil is poured into the DOSS chamber instead of the oil filler chamber, resulting in the error you described. Did you install the motor yourself, or did someone install it for you? I worry that oil was accidentally poured into the DOSS chamber.

    1. Hi Moosa. It seems that your gate motor's automatic closing feature has inadvertently been enabled. To disable the feature, please follow the steps documented at this link: http://www.centsys.co.za/upload/product_link_files/English_D3,D5_Quick_Programming_GuideCS20_0005.D.01.0001_4.pdf. 88. Hi
I have a D5 evo and everytime the gate reaches the end stop the lcd screen switches off and re-boots, even while the gate is opening and I hold it so the motor current picks up and it will do the same switching off and rebooting. Any ideas what the problem could be.
    Thanks

    1. Hi Steven. Thanks for your query. The most common cause for the symptom you've described, is a battery nearing the end of its functional life. When the gate reaches the end-stop, the current draw peaks and, if the battery is not in great shape, it'll reset the controller. Your best bet is to take both the battery and charger to your nearest branch or security outlet for testing.

    2. Hi
Thanks for the reply, I have tested the battery and the voltage is 13.6, could it still be the battery or should I just take it with the charger to get tested.

    3. Hi Steven. No problem at all! I'm glad I could be of assistance. What often happens is that the battery appears to be optimally charged under static conditions, i.e. when the gate is stationary, but drops right down when placed under load. I would definitely take it along to be tested.

  89. Hi there. I just bought and installed a D10 turbo gate motor, the problem is when I was programming it opens and closes 3/4 and not fully closed or open. It's a new motor. What could be the problem? My email is dickt@magalieswater.co.za

    1. Hi there. Thanks for your query. Are any error messages displayed on the screen at the time of setting up the operator?

  91. Hi I have a D2 turbo, suddenly started running slowly, then failed halfway open. Having let guests out manually I have discovered the the gear was binding at one point on the rack. I cleared this but still get no response from the unit. I trid to reset limits, starting with closed gate as per user manual, but instead of doing limit routine it attempts to close already closed gate and then beeps/flashes red led while still trying to force gate. Try with Open gate and it attempts routine but still flashes red led. Set back to RUN and press select button get 3 beaps repeated a few times. Ideas? Patrick at boschpa@gmail.com

    1. Good day and thank you for your query. Have you tried resetting the gate motor to factory defaults? To do this, remove all power (battery and mains) and hold down the test button. While holding down the button, reapply power. This will clear all settings, limits and remotes. Once you've performed this sequence, you can again try resetting the limits. Should you require any assistance in this regard, please don't hesitate to call us on 0861 003 123.

  92. I have the D5 evo motor and currently when I do the limit setting it keeps on saying origin not found. The magnet is functioning and I set the PCM force setting to 50% but no luck.

    1. Hi Christo. When the magnet passes the motor, does the LCD panel indicate the position of the magnet relative to the sensor, i.e. "ORG on left" or "ORG on right"?
